When Steve Kirby of Waterloo, Liverpool went into Ellis Brigham on Bold Street to buy a new backpack for a cycling trip, little did he know just how far it would need to take him! With his purchase he was given a scratchcard as part of of Ellis Brigham’s 75th anniversary celebrations. Steve couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw that he had won one of the star prizes - a trip to New Zealand worth £2,000 courtesy of Austravel! Says store manager Brian Molyneux, “Steve thought it was a joke but then he saw that we were as surprised as he was! The promotional scratchcards have been split amongst our stores around the country but this has been the first big win so far. There are still plenty of prizes including other holidays to be won so I’m hoping it will be another of our customers.
